The Conquergoods went to Alberta in February on a family trip. We
visited many friends, the first of which were Jen and Steve in Calgary.
They have a son, named Scott, who is slightly older than Lauren and also
a daughter,
named Emily, who is slightly older than Nicholas. The dads took their
preschoolers water sliding while the moms and babies watched
from the deck. We had lots of fun together! |

Our next stop was Banff to see our good friend, Wendy, at the Banff Centre.
We stayed at the Centre. What a wonderful place it would be to host
an embroidery retreat. The facility is beautiful, not to mention
the Rocky Mountain surroundings! |

Our last leg of the trip was with our friends Rhonda and Greg to their
family cabin in Fairmont, BC. We went for some beautiful walks and
even saw a pair of bald eagles nesting high in the trees. In the
evenings, we all warmed up in the hot springs. It was a wonderful
get away from our bitter Saskatchewan winter. |

When we can, our family likes to get out and go bowling. Even
at the tender age of 2 1/2, Lauren is interested in learning to bowl.
Her score for her very first game was 51. We did have some bumpers
to help, but we thought that was pretty good. Here's a picture
of Daddy helping Lauren line things up for her next shot! |
