In March, we traveled to Vancouver and Victoria to attend
the Sewing and Craft Shows. Trevor and his father, George,
do the shows together, and we traveled as a family, with Wendy,
Lorna and Lauren making the trip as well. The photo above is
of George in our booth, at the Vancouver Show. Press the logo
on the Left to learn more about the shows. |

While in Vancouver, we stayed with the newlyweds, Scott
and Carlene Leier. Their new home in West Vancouver is beautiful and
large enough to put us up with room for everyone. You can see Scott
and Carlene with Trevor, Lorna and Lauren in the photo below. We are
at the ferry terminal at Horseshoe Bay. The hour and a half ferry
ride took us from West Vancouver to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Also
shown below is a picture of Lauren and Amanda. Some of you may remember
Amanda Immelman, she worked for Stitchitize for many years. Today
she is attending the Vancouver
Film School, taking the New Media Program. It was great to visit
with Amanda while in Vancouver, and we loved staying with Scott and
Carlene. |

The Sewing and Craft Show in Victoria was amazing. What a beautiful place
to hold a conference about Embroidery. Victoria could easily be our favorite
city in Canada. It has culture and class everywhere you look. The Conference
centre itself is the nicest we have been to. The photo's above and below
were taken in Victoria. The night shot is of the Parliament Buildings
and was taken from our hotel room. The photo's of the Conference Centre
show the awesome carvings housed in the front enterance. There are totempoles,
water fountains and gradens almost everywhere you look. The last photo
was taken on the ferry ride leaving Vancouver Island.
