Spring has sprung! This past month our families celebrated Easter.
Lauren really got into the spirit by wearing an outfit sewn by her
one gramma and embroidered with a Stitchitize Easter stock design
by her other one. Here she is modeling the jumper as she gets
ready for Easter Sunday brunch with her family. Lauren gave
the outfit 2 toes up!
Amanda Immelman is one of the digitizers at Stitchitize and she
is also an amazing artist. In April, she had a opening at a
gallery to show her most recent works. The collection is called
"Land Marks" and is showing in Regina, Saskatchewan at the McIntyre
Gallery. Most of the pieces in the show are acrylic paint on
wood carvings, although Amanda did have a few acrylic paintings that
weren't carved. Press the picture to the right to see the collection
on line.
Lauren is very good at going to her Daddy and Mommy's functions,
even thought she is usually the only baby at some of them. She
did very well when we drove to Regina for Amanda's opening.
She isn't walking yet, so we are still able to contain her energy
for the most part by having an umbrella stroller and lots of toys.
Lauren is, however, crawling and standing, so it is really important
to keep her busy as she will eventually want to entertain herself.
Unfortunately, her idea of entertainment isn't always what is best
or safest for babies!
