Happy Halloween!
Halloween is a very fun special occasion. The kids love to get dressed up in a costume and "Trick or Treat" the homes in our neighbourhood. Our community also has a party at the school where the kids can play games and make crafts. The candy they collect will last until easter, only because mom and dad make them ration it. Dad's favorite part is carving the Jack o' Lantern and then roasting the seeds. As you can see in the photo above one of our pumpkins looks to have had too much candy or halloween punch. (LOL) Lauren dressed as a mean substitute teacher named Viola Swamp, from the book Miss Nelson is Missing. As you can see in the photos below she plays the part well. Nicholas was/is a clown, so that seamed to fit him well. Reese was a fairy princess for the day and then a pumpkin for the evening. Considering we had an early snow storm in October that lasted for a week, we were lucky and there was no snow for Halloween. |
