Trevor's trip to Germany
Trevor attended the Janome Institute for Germany in September 2007. We visited Frankfurt where the Janome office is. The photos above were taken in Frankfurt. On the right Trevor is with a group of Janome staff and educators. |
We traveled from Frankfurt to the city of Kassel for the event. Trevor was there to promote embroidery to the store owners. As always Trevor made many new friends, like Mr Moto Sugiura and Mr Shin Yamamoto shown with Trev is the photo above left. In the Photo on the right Trevor is with Jannette Knake who is famous for her creations with wool. She call’s her technique “CRAZY” and it looks like alot of fun. |
| While in Frankfurt Trevor visited a very old Catholic Church and inside were several robes on display from past Cardinals. Trevor was amazed with the beautiful embroidery that is centuries old. The ammount of detail was marvlous and you can only imagin how many hours someone very talented spent to make such a beautiful garment for their Cardinal. The photos of the robe above show the back with a cross of made or embroidery. The center of the cross is an image of “The Last Super”. In the photo on the right you can see just how amazing the detail is. WOW!!! |
