Taste of Saskatchewan |
|
The South Saskatchewan River flows through our city and is lined by a beautiful park on it's banks. Taste of Saskatchewan is a festival that is held each summer in our river park. Many local restaurants offer their signature menu items and there is live music from local talent all day and evening. People from Saskatoon love our river parks and we are no exception. Here is a photo of Wendy and George with Trevor, Lorna, Lauren and Nicholas having lunch in the sun. |

Conquergood Family Reunion
Our family name is Conquergood and we know that it dates back to the 1400's in Scotland. Our family tree is traced to the 1500's and our family has been in Canada since 1855. Nicholas, Trevor's son is in the 15th generation of our family and the 6th generation born in Canada. Trevor, Lorna, Lauren and Nicholas went to our first family reunion. Trevor's brother Carl also attended the retreat in Northern Alberta, Canada. We met Conquergood's from all over Canada and the USA. It was fun to learn more about our family and it's history. We have our own family tartan and also a coat of arms. As you might have guessed we embroidered our coat of arms on to a patch to wear to the reunion. The photo above is a group shot of the Conquergoods that attended. I understand that this was a small reunion compared to some. In the photo's below you can see Nicholas sporting his family crest. Also below is one of Lorna and Lauren and one with Trevor and Carl.
