September 2005
Saskatchewan is 100 Years old
|
September 5th, 2005 was the 100th anniversary of Saskatchewan joining the confederation of Canada. We have had a year of celebrations all around the Province.

Lorna's Mom, Paulett Sapergia, is a well known Saskatchewan artist. She was honored to be chosen to design a coin for the Royal Canadian Mint to commemerate our centennial. The photo on the left shows Paulett with the new quarter that is now in circulation. |
|
The photo below was taken at the unveiling party for the new coin. In the photo is Trevor and Lorna with Lauren and Nicholas, Grandma Violet and also Chuck French, Paulett's partner in life. Lorna's Sister Marlo and her husband Lee are also in the photo with their children Julia, Renel and Martine.

Family Day 2005
We lost our son Scott in September 2001 and ever since then we invite our family and friends to Wakaw Lake for a celebration. We call it Family day and it is our way of creating something nice for our memories of Scott. The special day includes a balloon release and a campfire. We have supper and finish the day off with fireworks. Below is a photo from Family day 2005. Also below is a recent photo of Lorna, Trevor, Lauren and Nicholas and even spooky made the picture.
