July is the warmest month of the year in Saskatchewan. We love to get outside and enjoy the heat while it is here and the best place to do that is at the Lake. Lauren and Nicholas love to play in the sand. Nicholas seems to have eyes for Barbie this summer. When it comes to water it's all about safety. Lauren and Nicholas look so cute in their life jackets and they are very well behaved when on a boat. Nicholas usually falls asleep in our boat. Here's a big kiss from Trevor and Lauren. |
Trevor's trip to Michigan.
The first ever Love 2 Learn School was held in July in Lansing, Michigan. The event featured classes about Embroidery and Quilting with presentations from the best in the industry. Trevor shared his knowledge about the Art of Embroidery Design Creation with a Basic and Advanced Techniques class. The event was lots of fun and there may be some very interesting photos of Trevor floating around the internet as a result. If you missed this event, don't worry, there will be more of these fun and inspirational events in the future. See the Love 2 Learn web site for future dates and a complete list of Teachers and Classes. |
The photos above are from the Love 2 Learn School in Lansing, Michigan. The organizers of the event did a fantastic job, it was hosted by Gall Sewing and Vacuum who have 4 stores in Michigan. The photo on the left shows Trevor with Van Nicholson of Gall sewing along with the Event MC, Jim Stutsman and his beautiful wife Diane. Jim and Diane of The Sewing Room in Lewisville Texas are well known with Janome users because of their very helpful website MC10000.com. The photo in the center shows Trevor with Lyla J. Messinger and on the right with Linda McGehee who were also presenters at the event. Lyla and Lynda dressed Trevor up in some of their wearable creations as part of a fashion show during the event's Saturday Night Supper. The fashion show and the entire event was great fun and laughs for all. |
Saskatchewan Land of Living Skies!
Land of Living Skies is the provincial moto we sport on our license plates and we coundn't agree more. Saskatchewan is the type of place where you can see a beautiful patchwork of prairie grass and grain farms for as far into the distance as your eyes can see. You can see the weather coming from miles away and the sky has many stories to tell. The prairie sunset extends in the sky for as far as you can see in every direction. It's nearly impossible to capture the beauty of it in pictures but Trevor loves trying. The photo's below are from Trevor's collection. |
